Went to the dermatologist today about an infection on my hand that resulted in a secondary infection that spread to my face, arms and legs. Over the last couple of months I went through a couple rounds of antibiotics, and both times the infection would be about 90% under control but after the drugs were done would come back with a vengeance. Today he gave me a very strong one that should do the trick, and only requires 5 doses. The only drawback is that he recommended that I take at least 1 week off away from the pool in case the chlorine aggravated my skin. I guess for the remainder of the coming week I will focus on running, biking, yoga and may do some strengthening exercises.
Tonight I went to Kula in Oakville for a yoga class with Kim and purchased a pack of 10 classes which should last me about 6 weeks or so. A good friend of mine who got me out for about 6 weeks or so last fall mostly goes to that studio. I feel better than I have in quite a while after that class. Although I’m far from being able to do all the poses, I definitely notice an improvement in the flexibility of my muscles even after just two classes this week and I felt better than when I started last year.
Tomorrow I am planning on doing a spin class with my wife Lori which should be fun/torture and Wednesday I’ll be back to the running room for a run.
I’ll be going on my annual boyz ski trip to Mount Tremblant this coming weekend so I think the yoga is really going to come in handy.
Till next time...
