Running Room - 6 km Slow Run on a cold Sunday morning. Really could have used a neck warmer over the face today. Brrrr!!!
After having joined the 10k clinic on Friday, I partook in the 2nd run with the group today. It was a chilly 6 km. I was making extra effort to keep my heart rate down in the 140’s so it really was a nice slow base building run which would not contribute to any injuries.
I felt great the whole time with the exception of some bone chilling wind on the face during the first 10 min of the run.
I ran with Richard again today, as well as Catherine in the yellow jacket (I need queues so I actually remember people’s names). She is going to be doing her first event ever and has actually been running 7 days a week, let’s hope that no injuries result of not taking at least a day or two off.
I did a third test of the Polar RS800CX today, and I must say my experience was much better than the first. The distance on the GPS was bang on, the HR remained accurate, and the pace numbers seemed reasonable the whole time. One thing to note is that the temperature and altitude were still off. I still have to install the software and get into the really good features of the watch.
Till next time...
