Exercise #1 - Superman Glide
- Arms shoulder width apart & relaxed hands
- Push off and glide as far as you can
- Relax and ‘sink’ into support
- Relax your head and extend from fingers to feet
Exercise #2 - Superman Flutter
- Arms shoulder width apart & relaxed hands
- Push off and glide until you feel support
- Relax and ‘sink’ into support
- Begin gentle kicking just enough to keep you sustaining a glide
Exercise #3 - Laser Lead Flutter
- Align your head and spine
- After push off, pull arms back to sides with hands on front of thighs
- Hold position and kicking gently until you need a breath
- Begin gentle kicking just enough to keep you sustaining a glide
- Release your head until you feel the water support it
Exercise #4 - Core Balance
- When you push off and glide, drop a shoulder keeping your head stable
- Rotate your shoulders just enough to have your top shoulder out of the water
- Relax and ‘sink’ into support
- Begin gentle kicking just enough to keep you sustaining a glide
I also did some laps of breast stroke and some of my lousy attempt at free-style. I was in the water a total of about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
